HOW TO PARTICIPATE
Answer, in one word, "What is the one thing in your life that you most hope would change?"

Write your answer on a piece of paper and photograph it with your hand in the frame. Then, post it along with your first name, current job, and location to our Facebook Fan Page, our Flickr Group, or email it to us.

We want any and everyone to participate. Don't worry if you don't see yourself as an "artist", that isn't important. What is important, especially in these current times, is open discussion with not just the people around you but with the global community at large.

WHAT IS THIS PROJECT?
This is a project centered around change.

U.S. President Barack Obama's presidential campaign and ensuring presidency have been largely built on the idea that the American public wants change. But fundamental questions remain. Who gets to decide what changes his presidency puts in to effect? Who exactly will these changes benefit?

Using these questions as the starting point, the project personalizes Obama's rallying cry by asking participants to answer, in one word, the question: "What is the one thing in your life that you most hope would change?"

Each participant's response will be turned into work of art that uses the viral nature of the social web to broadcast their wish to the masses and the complete library of images will provide insight into our collective desires, hopes, and fears

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

  • To transparently create and distribute the idea of the personal as political and the private as communal.
  • To create individually focused art that address public/national concerns.
  • To explore the line between intimacy and exploitation.
